"Praxis Vertebralis" or Neuro-Foot Reflexology

with Lone Sorensen

March 10 & 11, 2009
Killara, Sydney

Neuro Foot Reflexology works with the central nervous system and nerve maps in the feet. During this 2 day workshop you will learn how to work with these nerve maps.   You will learn about the relationship between:

  • the central nervous system and the meridians
  • the nerve points and nerve zones in the feet and their connection to the organs, skin, muscles, parts of the brain
  • the cranial nerves and the chemical balance of the body
  • postural problems and the spinal nerves, and how these in turn create health complications

Importantly you will learn how to analyse the biggest deposit as found in the feet and to relate it to the organ most out of balance, as well as locating and analysing the biggest deposit in the 'spinal cord' reflex in the feet.

Praxis Vertebralis is a completely new way of working with foot reflexology and has important applications for all neurological problems.

Comment from the NZ workshop held in 2008:
The praxis vertebralis workshop was absolutely fantastic.  In praxis vertebralis you find the largest deposit and work to balance this, as in facial reflexology.  What I love is having a diagnostic system that is deceptively simple to use and, based on an experience I had at the workshop, extremely powerful.   And Lone is totally inspiring. Rae Torrie, NZ

About the presenter:

Lone Sorensen began her study of reflexology in Denmark in 1978 where she was amongst the first to study the discipline. She also studied acupuncture and laser therapy then ran a clinic and school in Denmark for about ten years before moving to Argentina where she pioneered the practice of reflexology. She was always very interested in facial acupressure points because of the success of her work with children with hyperactivity and learning difficulties and began a life long search for reflex techniques that would bring results.

Following her research Lone began to work with the Dr Phillipe Pinel Institute in Buenos Aires, developing new therapies for brain-damaged children. With a system called Stimulation Temprana (early stimulation) Lone has achieved excellent results. She never claims to be able to cure, but she has been able to help patients who were unable to walk, talk or eat to gain or regain these faculties - thus greatly improving their quality of life.

She has also helped coma patients, and people suffering with such conditions as Multiple Sclerosis, Downs Syndrome, and Motor Neuron Disease; the more serious the disease or condition, the more intense the treatment.

The Praxis Vertebralis techniques have been developed specifically for neurological conditions, however the techniques have wide applications within our reflexology practice and the reflex analysis is a wonderful tool for client assessment and treatment guidance.
